Design Requirements

The prices listed for advertisements designed by B&T include design fees and entitle you to one revision.

Layout/design fees will apply to ads requiring additional design work including photo touch-ups, removal of leads or backgrounds, custom graphics or more than one revision.

These rates are based on a maximum of 5 photos for double page ads, 2 photos for single page ads, and 1 photo for half page ads. Additional photos can be incorporated at a rate of $5.00 per photo.

Photo(s) of your dog will need to be scanned at 300 dpi or greater and saved in JPEG, TIFF or BMP format. A high quality image is necessary for optimal viewing. If you have difficulty sending large files, we recommend checking out www.yousendit.com

If you are submitting a completed advertisement, we will require a hi-resolution (300 dpi or greater) PDF. Page dimensions for all ads is 7.5" x 9.0", no margins required.

Note: Black & Tan reserves the right to approve all ads designed by 3rd parties in order to maintain the high quality of our publication.

All rankings must be attributed to a source and date. When choosing to differentiate by sex, ads should state #X "Male", "Female" or "Bitch" not #X "Dog".
Covers/Preferred Pages

Covers and preferred page ads are available on a first come-first serve basis and should be booked early.

Covers photos should feature the dog only and design/layout must be completed by our head designer.
