2018 in Review
2018 was a difficult year, marked by an incredible loss for our family and breeding program as we said good-bye to Wendy. Her death was devastating on so many levels and even today is difficult to contemplate. It is not surprising then that Amanda didn't make it too many shows this year, although trips to the World Dog Show in Amsterdam and the US National in Kentucky did provide some wonderful memories and much-needed opportunity to connect with wonderful friends.
Despite the lull in showing, the black and tans couldn't be held back completely and our wonderful owners, co-owners and co-breeders continued to do wonderful things that would have made Mom so very proud. From two #1 dogs in two different countries (Go, Buzz and Maybe!!!) to Best in Show, Specialty and Puppy in Show wins as well as group wins and placements in several countries around the world, she would have been so proud of the legacy she has left. In honour of these dogs and their owners, I have continued our yearly tradition of recognizing their accomplishments and send huge thanks to all involved for their hard work, dedication and love. Your accomplishments have often provided a reason to smile on an otherwise dark day, and I am very grateful.
As we turn toward 2019 with hope for a better year in our hearts, hug your loved ones (two and four-legged) close.
Hugs,
Amanda
